Who we are
Villa il Santo is set in a beautiful countryside location close to the town of
Barberino Val d'Elsa. We bought it and refurbished it four years ago because
the great success met by Villa Castellare, our other rental property, resulted
in the need to open another facility, allowing us to satisfy the needs of
a growing clientele.
We live about a 10 minute drive from the villa with our three children,
and are always pleased to assist our guests with their tours, sightseeing,
museum bookings, wine tasting, restaurant selection and shopping, focusing
on making their holidays a delightful experience.

Villa Il Santo
We present our beautifully restored villa, Il Santo, comprised of two buildings: a magnificent tower and the original hay barn, connected by a glass corridor but rented as one independent villa. The villa, with a separate studio apartment at pool level and seven double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms can accommodate 16 guests. A very well equipped large kitchen, huge dining room and several living rooms complete the interior offering and an assortment of furnished outdoor areas and al fresco dining terrace entice you to linger outdoors.
A typically Italian garden, with lawns adorned with roses, jasmine and indigenous plants and flowers offers our guests different areas to relax in with complete privacy. The infinity swimming pool with its annexed Jacuzzi overlooks the amazing Chianti countryside. Vineyards changing colors with the seasons and the silhouetted towers of the San Gimignano skyline on the horizon, guarantee complete relaxation under the Tuscan sun.
We are at your service and can provide arrangements for many activities and interests. Cycling through the countryside is sublime, no matter the season...golfing greens are nearby and tee-off times are easily booked... there are Italian recipes to learn and cooking classes can be organized...
Interested in wines? Wine tastings and visits to vineyards can be planned... Musical concerts of interest? There is an Abbey in the distance where no sweeter music is heard...Sightseeing and museum tours can also be arranged... Tennis, anyone? Courts are nearby... Autumn Truffle hunting? We know where to go.... Are you a shopper? Enjoy the markets? Outlet shopping? Or just a penchant for all things Italian? We have secrets to share... Love Italian food? We provide you with our personal dining recommendations in the countryside, seaside, and villages, towns, cities nearby....we have suggestions for special itineraries in and around this area and further....after all, this is our home and we want to share it with you!
