San Gimignano

San Gimignano, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known worldwide for its incredible skyline.

Fourteen medieval towers still reach out to the skies and have the visitor instinctively imagine just how unique this small town must have appeared in the past, perched on a hilltop with as many as 72 towers standing proudly and bearing witness to the richness and power of its families.

The town boasts an impressive artistic and architectural heritage.
The Collegiate Church and the Palazzo del Podestà, housing masterpieces by some of the best Italian Renaissance artists, are just two of the numerous sites worth visiting.
